OBJECTIVES

  • To present and discuss basic power quality issues in distributed generation and industry
  • To increase knowledge in various power quality  issues among electrical engineers in the Philippines
  • To prepare target group in forthcoming survey on most important power quality  issues affecting selected manufacturing industries

HIGHLIGHTS

  • An estimated 500 electrical engineering practitioners from the electric utility industry, various manufacturing industries, and building construction actively participated in two technical seminars on PQ issues--one in distributed power distribution and another in industry.
  • The lectures were delivered by technical resource persons from the North China Electric Power University and Manila Electric Company.
