Building Construction Programmes

CDC•SEA has been actively involved in raising the awareness of the advantages and versatility of copper applications in building industry with various stakeholders. They include the regulators, housing development bodies, private developers, contractors, consultants, engineers & architects etc.

Our programs focus on enhancing safety, reliability, design, health and electrical efficiency. These could be in correct sizing of building wire and cable, upsizing of wires/cables in older buildings use of copper bus bars in switchboard, and last but not least, lightning protection. These programs have a positive impact on consultants, increasing building owners' profitability while helping the tenants/occupiers reap more savings. We facilitate the setting up of building codes that uses copper effectively, efficiently and safely.

The efforts behind these programs pave the way to untapped markets in the region. In addition, our programs provide networking opportunities for its members. Recognition of CDC•SEA as the principal authority on copper is reflected in our significant partnerships with the various government agencies, regulatory authorities and building construction companies in the region. CDC•SEA aims to bring other new programs to increase focus on the role of copper in the building construction industry and we look forward to more participation from potential members as well as sharing of expertise.
