VN FlagA dedicated forum covering the subject of Protection for Safety: TCXDVN 394:2007 - Electrical Installation in Buildings in two cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

We facilitated the event with keen support from the Ministry of Construction and Schneider Electric Vietnam to promote the new codes of TCXDVN 394:2007. Participants found the seminar useful in understanding the new code and its implementation in the workplace. This was a continuation to our promotion effort for TCXDVN 394:2007 and international standards in electrical safety practices.

Why does Singapore needs more energy-efficient buildings?

SG flag It was reported in a Singapore daily, The Straits Times on 23 Nov 2007 that Cambridge University architecture professor thinks homes and buildings in Singapore could be much better designed for the steamy climate.

Some examples he cited include single glazed glass panels which are often used in Singapore. Problem with glass panels is that they absorb heat quickly while failing to maximise natural ventilation.

PUIL-2000 Amendment 1 Workshop

ID FlagTo update the electrical community in Bali on the new revised PUIL standard, CDC-SEA worked with PT PLN to spread positive messages to the Bali community. Wide variety of industry players turned up during the event and explored information exchanges in the full-day event.

This event was designed to lead to a Pilot project on furthering electrical safety messages in Bali. Initial plans include selection of a common facility for electrical safety audit and rewiring exercise. Watch out this space for more details soon!

We facilitated the event with keen support from the Ministry of Construction and Schneider Electric Vietnam to promote the new codes of TCXDVN 394:2007.

Participants found the seminar useful in understanding the new code and its implementation in the workplace. China's experiences have enabled Vietnam to anticipate potential barriers in implementing the new codes.
